I always intended to buy a second Stang for a project.
My first choice is a 67 like the one my folks bought new. They are just so hard to find and are so expensive Ive all but given up.
Choice number 2 was a 84-85 GT, the last of the carby's.
Choice number 3 was a 89-93 vert. I wanted to put in a IFS, cut out the shock towers and stuff a 4.6 in.
Now Im thinking about the same 89-93 vert, but with a 3.8 or a 4.0. The advantage of the 3.8 is that the 4.2 truck internals slide right in. The disadvantage is that the 3.8 is a dinosaur.
Im going to give it some thought. Im keeping the 05 for many years, and Im not sure that I want to mod the hell out of it. After I pay off the F150 and the Stang my goal is zero car payments, cash on the barrel on all future car purchases.
I still like choice number 3, depending on the cost of the IFS conversion. I can cut out the IFS by going with the V6. That saves alot and gets it on the road alot sooner.
Its also a good excuse to get another carpot in the backyard. Less to mow too.
