So I bought slicks for the front

....and for the rear lolz. The wheels are OZ Monte Carlo’s with Kumho VictorRacer Tires. The reason I got 99 Cobra’s is I liked this wheel back in the day…like 8 years ago back in the day, but they were too spendy, so I finally got some, but they will be used to run these slicks. I run an SN95 brake conversion using 96-98 spindles and SN95 rear axles and as you can see in the pic, they do not stick out like so many people think. These tires are 255/40/17….10mm wider than the street tires I currently run. Surprisingly, they do not rub in front. And they are sticky as hell. I drove a block away to get on some pavement to take pics and the whole way I could hear rocks shooting into the wheel wells on the driver’s side. I parked it and the tires were covered with rocks…and I did not even heat them up. I am anxious to try them out on the track.

So here’s some pics.

What do you like? The OZ on the front or the 99 Cobra in the rear? I personally like the OZ, even without the center cap.

Wow nice setup! Looks fantastic

Any reason you didn't go with the Kuhmo V710's? Thats what everyone uses up here in Winnipeg

I'm gonna be running the 13" front 11.65" setup next year for auto-x as well. How much of a difference did you notice?

I'm running the mark vii front calipers /w stock drums atm

I am running the Kumho Victoracers because I got the wheels and tires for 345.00 bucks. The tires alone through tirerack would have set me back 170 each, so I feel I will burn these off and get some of the Kumho's you suggested. I noticed a huge difference with the fronts. Not sure about the rears. Probably some, but it was not as dramatic as the fronts. If nothing else, it fills the wheelwells up nicely.
