so i live in a semi rich suburban area, even though im not that well off.. but thats beside the point. Im just starting to get really pissed off due to kids getting spoiled out the butt. this kid is a junior at our school and he is 16 years old. His first car was a gorgeous G35 coupe. I guess he thought that wasnt enough, becuase look what daddy bought him..

theres many people dying to have this and it seems like nothing when you see a 16 year old with one.. ahh thats messed up... oh well.. its one hell of a car! the things i would do to have one....

His father is an idiot. That is not a car a 16 year old should have. MAYBE an NPI GT at most. unfortunately he will probably end up seriously hurting himself or someone else.

I don't see why you think 16 year olds can't handle anything more powerful than an NPI GT. I had an NPI GT @ 15 (no license til 16) and could have easily handled a PI GT. Not every 16 year old is a complete idiot. This kid is just a daddy's money mooching little ***** though.

I got my mustang when i was 15 and i was crazy as heck. Yeh i live on a farm and have drove all my life but i by no means needed my car. I dont care if it is a NPI GT. I am in the same boat i dont believe no 15/16yr old should have a fast car. I done very stupid stuff and got tickets and other things that wouldnt have happen if i hadnt been able to buy it till now! Same with a few other friends i have. 1 got a 95 cobra the same time i bought mine and my other friend got a 88 camaro and its a wonder we arent already dead. I just cant stand parents going and buying their kid a $50,000 car, it really gets to me. Some were down the line someone had to work their butt off, and the kid is not at all learning how "life" is by no means!!!

Yea thats pretty dumb. I dont care, @ 16 years old

A. your not very smart
B. You suck at driving and making split second desicions (98% of them)
C. Your VERY sensitive to pressure (aka FRIEND- "hey get on it!" KID-"durr OK!" )
D. You cant really FULLY appreciate what you are given. WHY? Because you havnt lived long enough to see what it really takes to be able to afford things...especially $50,000 things.

I hope this guys is in the 2% of 16 year olds that have a good head on their shoulders. Otherwise unfortunatly I see that car wrapped around a poll in no time...and im sure it will be with more than one person in the car.
Just WAY too much power for a young person like that to control...unless hes smart and takes it easy and LEARNS the car like hes supposed to for quiet a while before even trying to "push" it.

There are always exceptions. Some kids grow up racing. I would have no hesitation giving Ashley Force a GT500 (not in the sense that she deserved it, but she could handle the power growing up doing it) when she was 16. Nobody deserves a car like that at 16 and 98-99% can't handle it either..

My first car was a POS '89 camaro 2.8 v6 when I was 16, and I still drove it like I stole it. If I had my GT when I was 16, I'd probably be dead now. So, I agree, anything over 200 or so hp is too much for a 16 year-old. Also, I can't stand spoiled kids with rich parents.

+1 on all of these, I think that
a) he's going to grow up to be a dousche, and
b) he can't handle that car. my first car was a 92 grand marquis (a fat mustang in disguise ) and I seriously nearly killed myself in that car on numerous occasions, and that thing was a mid-low 16 second car at best. These things used to piss me off, but I've grown up a little and have realized that sometimes life works out like that. Forget it. I'm just concentrating on what I have and what I want to do with my stuff, screw everybody elses.

I was driving a 69 442 at age 17........ but I bought it for $1500. with my own
cash. Did a lot of work on it. Never wrecked it either. This kid will never
learn the difference between a screw driver and a cresent wrench, or care.

I feel sorry for rich people because even though they have so much they totally do not appreciate or respect what they have. For example, if that kid was to accidently burn a hole through the leather upholstery with a cigarette he probably would not care at all. He will probably not even clean and wax the car himself. He will get fat and lazy and be a failure in life because he will never learn the true meaning of work. So do not hate him, instead feel sorry for him. Life is actually a lot harder when you are just given everything. Its a real shock when eventually you have to go out into the world and fend for one's self.

my 86 fiero GT had 135hp and was just enough to have fun, and teach me how to drive... it was fast enough to get me in trouble but wasnt a c6 z06... also it being mid-engined taught me how to deal with the cars dynamics... either an MR2 or a Fiero should be every drivers first car...

I'm 18 and I"m glad i didn't get my stang for my first car, honestly. I had a 01 Nissan Pathfinder (still do) and i was extremely anal about taking care of it and i learned how to drive well and make good decisions, and then i got my mustang. I don't think it's good to get a car like that for your first ride, too much to lose if you don't know what you're doing

I should clarify that even though I think a 16 y/o could handle a PI GT, in NO way do I think a 16 year old should be given a 500+HP vehicle for their first car.
