I have always had success with using mothers 100% carnuaba wax, every 6 months-yank it and repolish it. i only use the car on the weekends anyhow. Myabe i should powder coat it clear, less work.
Thanks guys.
My process Squeezeandstroke is sand it down from 80grit, 120 grit, 220grit, 320 and lastly 400grit. Hand polish it with Mothers aluminum mag polish 1-2 times to get the inital shine, a low grit polish dull looking shine to it. The apply White Rouge (Eastwoods) on a hand drill that can maintain 3000RPM's 3-5 times or as needed. i like to use a canton flannel buff or a Spiral sewn buff on a drill. after hitting multiple times with White rouge, Wipe it down with windex to clear away black W/R residue and wipe and buff with a nice soft clean cotton sock on your hand. Its pretty simple, honestly-lots of practice makes it perfect. I can honestly say-I dont enjoy sanding or polishing, yet-Love the end results, and i only do it for myself and self gratification out of the love of hobby.
