Just thought I'd share some pics of my car. I drove it around for a year with 2 different colors (2 different cars combined into one..lol). It's really come together in the last 3 months with the addition of a supercharger and a couple weeks ago new paint. I was sold the crappiest single stage acrylic enamel PPG makes, but the painter really made it look good for what we used.

And please don't hate on the tails. I was running short on time so my brother gave me a set of 96-98's for the ease of painting. I'll throw my originals back on 'blacked out' when I do my car as a Saleen S351 replica.

Looks good! I was just inquiring about getting my car painted and was shocked at how much it cost. I could build another dart based shortblock for the quotes I've received.

So that is the one step enamel? How is the shine on it? And Im assuming there is no metal flake in it huh?

Im thinking about doing the parts of my car I want black with the one step stuff. We sell some stuff at work called Sherkem and I can get it for like $25 a gallon.

if its $25 a gallon is probably terrible...i paid over $200 a gallon for the DuPont Nason Redfire Metallic which isnt even the best paint

Wow, you've really mowed down a couple of neat additions in recent weeks (blower and aesthetics). I think it looks great. I LOVE yellow.

If you don't mind my saying so, have you considered some hub centric wheel spacers? It would really chunk out the rear end nicely IMHO.

I really like it. It's tastefully done, simple and clean. I would keep it just like that except the wheel spacers is a good idea and maybe a more aggressive front bumper cover. You're going to have a nice ride to show off this season.

It's the last thing i'm doing also sage. I think that's the best way to do it though. As it says in jrichkers sig: before you build a house build a good foundation (or something along those lines). Besides it gives you more time to change your mind a hundred times on what color like I am.

THat is inspiring...thinking about doing mine(same color)....After the paint job, are bug guts more of a problem with newer paint? My front end looks like a bug war zone, and the yellow makes them stand out. Do you do anything special to keep the buggies from oxidizing your new yellow??......I know you are cleaning it after long rides...looks great!!

Thanks for the nice comments! I have about 250 invested in the paint and a good friend of my brother's sprayed it for me for 100 bucks! He did it in his spray booth and everything. The shine is really nice, looks like it was cleared. The roof is a little matte because we ran out of paint and there's overspray up there. I'll buff it off when it's ok to do it.

I want spacers on the rear, what size should I go with? Who has the best price? Also, will it put any extra strain on my axle bearings? I'm wanting to polish my wheels, but I was kinda reluctant to do so because of how narrow they are. If I get some nice 275/40's on the rear and space it out about a half inch per side it should really set it off.

The bugs just wash right off. Tar on the rear is your enemy! I had to take it off with polishing compound because I was afraid of using any chemicals with the paint being fresh, plus I tried a couple household cleaners and nothing would work. When I can wax it I'm gonna wax the crap out of the front so the bugs will really just wash right off!

Also, in the future, when the paint fully cures I'm probably going back and clearing over it with urethane. Before I clear it I'm gonna wetsand it and take out all the orange peal and some imperfections.

That coil seems to be working fine. I guess when it goes bad I'll just buy an MSD coil or something.

On a side note, does anyone know where I can get a descent Saleen kit that will fit nicely? My buddy bought a Saleen front bumper from Mr. Bodykit and he had to spend 30 hours on it just to make it fit right. That's obsurd!
