Hey guys, check out this deal I got, got all 4 of these saleen wheels 18x9 for $200. I am not quite sure what I am going to do with them, this is not a for sale thread but I think I am going to put em up for sale if they dont sell I'll go for a 5 lug conv. I think its the tires that are going to kill me which is why I am leaning more towards flipping them.

Well I got rid of my cobras a couple months ago. If I decide to go 5 lug and use these it will put my turbo project on hold for a while having to buy tires. I would really like to flip em and use the extra cash for more turbo parts but they are SOOOO tempting. I am in no hurry so I have time to decide, i did put them up for sale on corral so we'll see what happens.

Yea I wouldnt be able to spend 500 on tires. I could finish my turbo project and have the car running with that kind of money.

I speak for myself here.... but i don't know how smart of an idea it is to be telling everybody how much you paid for these rims if your trying to resell them. But thats just me.

I am not trying to sell them on this forum which is why i dont mind telling you guys what I paid for them. Where I have them listed I did not post what I paid for them and they happen to see this thread its still not a big deal.

It dosent matter what you paid. I have paid 300.00 for a car and sold it for 1000.00 and I did very little work to it. Point is if you can make a profit more power to you.

That is such a good deal i would hide them in my garage for awhile... you have to think about how much you paid... $200... thats really nothing compared to what your going to drop on the car in the future for a part that is no where near as cool. i say stash them for later use... you know you will want to 5 lug conversion some day dont lie. good deal no matter what you do.. just my 2 cents

Thats actually not a bad idea either. Im gonna keep them up for sale for a while but if they dont sell I am gonna keep them.

The cheapest I've been able to find tires is 120 a pop through a commercial account at my work.

Shelve'em and hold out for later use unless you absolutely have to sell them to finish the project.

I love those wheels, but I thought I remember reading that they are really heavy. That, and they would look like overkill on anything but a Cobra brake 5 lug swap car... Drums would look silly behind those wheels.

I say flip 'em. Foxes need a staggered set of wheels anyway.
