Hey guys, well looks like something is majorly wrong. First off, Im pretty sure my valve seals are completely shot to ****. Whenever in high RPMs, my car burns oil like a bitch and shoots off this huge puff of black smoke and you can smell it big time. Secondly, my low oil light is on and i changed the oil a couple weeks ago. So i put in a quart of oil and this morning i find it on my driveway. I think my front main seal is shot out. I saw the oil coming from the front of the engine so thats what i assumed. Anyone have any problems like this?

I havent had the problem, but its no big deal to change the front main. Just remove the fan, crank pulley, the balancer, and finally the seal. Once you get all the leaking seals replaced you can swap in a set of aftermarket heads to cure your valve seal problem, if it is the valve seals.

If money is short, replacing the valve seals on stock heads is very easy as well. Just pull the heads, drop the springs, and put everything back together. It gets a little messy when you pull the heads, but what the hell is the sense in working if you can't get dirty? :D

i am having similar problems with oil, lol, but i think i have a bad rear main seal which i hear is a bitch to fix.
It's not too bad. The hard part is getting the trans out. It is tedious because you have to be so careful not to knock the seal in too far. That is when things can get ugly.

If your engine is burning mad amounts of oil at high RPM, it's probably bad oil rings. Worn valve seals will leak all the time, but not THAT much. Bad oil rings will leak a lot worse when the engine is under heavy load. I could be totally off base, but it's an idea anyways. Look fown into the ports and you'll be able to tell if the valve seals are really bad.
