Roush Some Suggestions for Front Suspension

As I'm going thru my 2001 Saleen for the start of some winter projects Transmission, Clutch, Intercooler I noted the front suspension bushings have some significant wear. So now I see the need to replace them. Can anyone make some suggestions as to upgrading the front end. I do like being on the open track road courses.

I prefer Hypercoils coilovers along with Bilsteins up from and Maximum Motorsports cc plates. That's a recipe for success that I run on all of my rides. All except the 06....that will all change when Bilstein offers a shock/strut for the front of that car.

Griggs k member, a arms and coil over setup. Probably the best there is, but it's gonna cost you.

I would be happy to help . We are the largest Griggs dealer in the USA. My daily driver is a full GR-40 car. I have never had such a fun and safe car to drive.You need to go for a drive in a Griggs car to completely comprehend the differances in the other suspension companys.

How would a stock 2004 Saleen suspension setup compare to a Griggs setup? 18x9 front 18x10 rear

Kinda of like comparing the handling of an escalade to a corvette.

Just by adding a panhard bar or watts-link, you change the car 100%.

Saleen doesn't do all that much to the handling in most cases, lowering springs, shocks and struts is good, but nothing special these days.

think I'd be better off with a torque arm w/panhard rod setup (which is how my '89 Firebird Formula was stock) or with Cobra IRS?

You would be way better off just getting an adjustable panhard and LCA's. Then see how you like it.

Mark at PAS has a nice set up.

Joe is totally correct. Anyone who thinks their Saleen Mustang handles well does not know what they are talking about.

The only way to really make a mustang handle well enough for serious competition needs a full Griggs set up or give your car to Multimatic for a couple of months. Anything less if BS.

If you want to drive a car that actually handles well from the factory go drive a Porsche GT3. That is pretty much where the bar is at. The new ZO6 handles like ass also.

the 05's are light years ahead the 04 and older cars without a doubt. The 05's really impressed me with the bilstein/eibach combo which left me unimpressed in the previous models.

Can't go wrong with griggs and maxmimum motorsports. I've heard griggs is more on the aggressive side, while MM is more of a comfortable drive, yet somewhat aggressive. I have experience with neither, but the next car I will have to decide what route to go

Actually The Giggs is a smoother ride. We use softer spring rates than Maximum for the street/Autocross set up. The World challange kit has higher rates.
