oh man....your gonna need to feel for the air then....and then your gonna need to mark your own balancer...or pull the balancer back off and set it right...timing needs to be pretty exact and you need an accurate balancer for that.....

****!! thats just great. now how do i go about marking my own balancer?

yup, just like stangfreak said...you want the rotor to be pointed at the #1 spark plug terminal when the balancer is at zero....if its not...pull the dizzy and keep pulling it out and stabbing it until it is.... once it is....start her up and check the timing for real....set it...button it all back up and your golden...ur almost there...dont lose it yet.

it appears that this round goes to the Stang. Little bitch doesnt wanna act right. Im done for the night. I just grabbed a cold one...of Pepsi... and cooked some mac and cheese. My spirits are by no way diminished. This gal cant beat me. thanks for the help everyone. i really appreciate it all :flag:

First off, is it at all possible that your C&L isn't calibrated for the 24lb injectors?

Second thing. Even though you say you felt the air coming out i've seen some motors that can be very tricky when it comes to feeling the actual compression especially when you never tried that before. So it may be possible that even though everything is lining up that the distributor is 180 degrees out. Which means that you'd need to point it in the exact opposite (180 degrees) direction it is pointing at now.

To make sure you're at TDC do this also. First do the whole "feel the air "thing. Put it at 0*. Then SLOWLY and CAREFULLY stick like a small screwdriver in your spark plug #1 whole. If it goes really far, you're not at TopDeadCenter. If it hits something fairly close in the whole, you're at TDC. You just hit your piston. Maybe you wanna take another spark plug out, and compare the different "holes", you'll see they're different. This is just to CONFIRM the "feel the air" trick.
