Ok guys, I went to the track last thursday. Everything on my car was doing good. I have a DVD Player with a 7 inch screen in my dash. The DVD takes the bottom "slot", and i put the screen in the top "slot". So as i line up, i turn everything off. I run 3 runs and as im leaving, i try to turn the dvd player on but it wont come on. I re-wired it, nothing. Check every single fuse, everything is good. So i think i messed up the dvd player, so i use my friend alpine head unit and put it in my car. it doesnt turn on. i thought he messed his up. i bought a new harnass and used my friends pioneer head unit, nothing. Now, apparently my car is completey messed up. How the hell do i fix this? what is wrong? Its driving me nutts!!!

sounds like a blown fuse... You need to run a hot wire from the battery to test with you may have pinched the power wire into.

I agree, check the other stereos with another power source so you know there all good. It has to be line, fuse or deck you would figure.

Ok first off did you check all the fuses in both locations under hood and under dash? also did you use the a wire harness to hook up your deck or did you just chop the harness off? If you used a harness make sure one of the pins did not push it's self out so it is not making contact, also if you look down to the right in the opening where the cd player would go there are two more harnesses down there stuck to the side of the panel there, one is a black rectangular one and the other is a grey rectangular one, these must be plugged in it is possibile one came loose, and also check your ground and make sure it is getting a good ground, the system will not operate with out a good ground connection, good luck let me know if you need more help dan

a. I did check both fuse boxes
b. Ill check every harnass
c. what do you mean the side harnasses are "plugged in". I see them there against the side. they are both the female haranasses.
d. where should the ground be? i know its the black wire, but where does it lead to?

Get a multimeter and see if you have 12volts DC between the yellow wire and ground. Make sure that the radio is grounded via the black wire. Then turn on the key and see if you have 12 volts between the red wire and ground. If you get 12v on both the radio should work fine. Also if you have stuff hooked up to the remote turn on lead (blue wire from radio) make sure you have 12V on that lead to ground when the radio is turned on. The whole system is really simple just take a step back and rethink it.

how close are you to the KY border? Sounds like a bad ground or a power wire into. Need to lay in the floor of the car and look at the wireing to make sure everything is OK. Make sure there is no bare spots in the wires or any thing out of normal.

Edit... also check the fuses inside the engine compartment beside the battery as well as under the dash.
