i noticed my someone tried to pop out my passenger side key hole..i have an alarm with a pager but the parkinglot for the biulding i work in, is a couple of blocks away.. neways Can u break into a car this way?? by popping out the keyhole

another question.. dose neone here have shaved handles.. How hard is something like that to do yourself.. i remember seeing that guy do it on "trucks" the tv show but i wasnt really paying attention

the first thing you should do is remove the metal posts that attach to that pice that shows if the car is locked or unlocked. theifs lift up the door handle stick a long screw driver in the hole underneath your handle and press on that post and push up and the door unlocks. EVERY ONE should remove that post its easy just pull your door panel off and use a screw driver to bend open the plastic tab it sits in.

well, some let you do it. Sunshine Speedway...or whats left of it (DAMN YOU CITY OF CLEARWATER AND YOUR HIGH FALUTIN' HIGHWAY!!! :nonono: ) still does, but its just an 1/8 mile now though, i might have to start takin trips down to DeSoto, Fl

Hey,whats up?

You go out to Sunshine often?Maybe Ill see you there.

I never heard of that rule.....

I something similar happen.

They tried to pop the lock on the passenger side, and when that didn't work they tried the driver side. When that didn't work they tried the rear hatch. They F-d up all of my locks then walked away empty handed. Luckily the alarm still worked the locks. The real kicker for me was that it happened in the parking lot of the apartment I lived in at the time. They probably tripped the alarm more than once, and no one even looked out the window!

By the way the locks are usually sold in sets. And it may be cheaper to replace all of them, vs having a locksmith match the new lock to your existing keys.

maybe you could just have the locks deleted and not the handles, i put a camera in the rear lock of my notch, and when i get my car painted i will be deleting the door locks.

Regardless of door handles or not... if a theif wants your car, they are going to take it. The best way to prevent theft is by not having stuff visible in the car to attract attention to yourself.

Adding a fuel shutoff might give you some piece of mind.

The could just be testing for an alarm before they try to steal the whole car.... Or maybe it was just some punk kid who got spooked off by something.

Either way, a close eye should be kept on your car for a while

a least hes letting everyone know, and im pretty sure anyone whos gonna try to steal a car...already knew about that. Let see, a nice notch with some hug chrome rims...maybe thats why they broke in :D Can always put a kill switch in, ran mine into my console under my ashtray, no way there gonna find it there.

You'd be supprised. A good theif will prepare.... For example: I alway's take out my rotor when I leave my car unattended. (No alarm) and it was still stolen. Middle of the day, during school. My 67K mile Reef blue GT was stolen. It was recovered a month later as a shell.... :nonono:

If they want it, they will get it.
