Something weird just happened to my Shaker 500...

Got in my 06 GT to leave from a store, cranked up my MP3 CD and immdeiately noticed the front door speakers, not the subs, where crackling. As I was driving home, I switched to a regular store bought cd, and it did it on that one, too. When I got home I tried FM, and it sounded OK. I shut the car off, turned it back to on withoout starting it, and played the cd's again, this time they sounded fine. I started the car, and still no crackling.
Any idea's on what happened? Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like a bum stereo,maybe the whole car. I'll take it off your hands to save you the aggrevation

Seriously though,it's either the amp or the head unit. I'd keep an eye on it and if it happens again then take back to the dealer and get them to fix it.

Yup, if its under warrenty, take it back. My Mom's 05 radio went dead too, the service center tech said they have been seeing some issues with the head units.
