Sorrily sold my Mustang

I sold my 2006 Mustang a few days ago. It wasn't exactly what I expected it to be, and here are my complaints:

PRO: The styling is awesome, I love the look
PRO: It has great acceleration and keeps speed well

CON: Too cheap of an interior, I do not like plastic everywhere
CON: Everyone seems to have one
CON: The seats are uncomfortable for a somewhat tall man (6' 2")
CON: The backseats are only good for children

I got a fairly good price for my 'Stang, $26,500. I found a car that was suited toward everyday driving with a better interior, better exterior, and the fun to drive concept...1999 White Diamond Cadillac Eldorado ETC with 54,000 miles for $10,500. I also have $15,000 in my pocket!

I don't want to put anyone off the new Mustang because they are great cars, but not exactly practical for my daily driving.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it seems that your impulse for a msutang overtook your knowledge of one...

Sure, mustangs are a dime a dozen... who cares.. they are mustangs.. The car for the rest of us...

Second, as most folks here know, the mustang that yu pruchased was a "blank canvas" as delivered by ford. Look at the customizations that is possible from just one vendor:

Finally, if you are happy with a Caddy eldorado.. then you were never on the market for a 'Stang in the first place... :D

05 Gt

Speedy:

My wife has a 99 Eldorado ETC.

It's a great car and she loves it.

However> when we go out she always asks to take the 05 Mustang GT.

Sorry the Stang was not for you.

But good luck with the ETC it does have a smoother ride and nice go with the 300 HP Northstar.

Also the GT gets better gas mileage 20 mpg vs ETC @ 18 mpg and on regular vs premium for the ETC.

I think I'll be keeping the GT for a long time!!!!!!!!!!

Most Mustang owners bleed Ford blue. Everyone to their own, I suppose. I could never imagine wanting a Cadilac, especially not one that old with that many miles.
I rarely see another 2005 Mustang. The only other one in my area is white. Mine is windveil blue and it gets stares and compliments several times a week.

Bose are over rated, they use paper cones in thier OEM auto systems. I spent weeks listening to different speakers, Bose, infinity, jbl, etc. Ended up with JBL's and love them. Seriously, take the test, go to a sound store and listen to all of them. I bet you will be suprised by where Bose ranks unless you shell out some serious money for thier top of the line speakers. And what they put in cars is in no way top of the line, but in comparrison to the shaker I can see where you are comming from.

My best friend was a Bose junkie. Swore by them for years, so finally I made him a bet and took him to bestbuy to listen to all the speakers....

...I won the bet.

But to each his own. **** luck and enjoy the caddy!!!!

:nice:

I'm sure your new wheels will give you joy for years to come. I do agree with you on one thing. The plastic obsession must go. I love the interior, but the fact that the shifter is this little lump of what feels like cheap plastic....come on!

Sorry you did not like your stang I guess it's time to move on to the Caddy forums and talk about how cheap the Mustang is. If it makes you feel better my 94 year old grandfather in-law agrees with you . If I could teach him how to use the computer he could join you on the Caddy forums.

Ahhh ha ha ha :rlaugh:

I have NO complaints about the shifter. I love the GT shifter (the V6 one is taller). Its ten times better than the ones before it except maybe the Mach 1. Its a lot better if you have IUP and all that jazz with the silver plating on it.

Question: You seem to be pretty happy in your decision. Why did you title the thread "Sorrily sold my mustang"?
A mustang is not supposed to be practical, i dont intend to make any trips to Home Depot with mine. I dont intend to take 6 kids to soccer practice in mine. If thats what you need to do thats fine. But I knew ahead of time that a mustang wasnt gonna accomplish all those tasks. Most could tell even if they knew nothing about the car just from passing one on the street. Im sorry to rant but if you wanted practicality than you should have shopped around some more.
