05Retro-you may be on to something about the desireability of an impractical car.

I'm 48, and I've got a 3 year old to haul around so the stang isn't the most practical car for me, but that's what makes it so much fun.

I think people envy that when they look at someone driving a stang. I think maybe they wish they could be more impractical and buy a nice toy like a stang just for the fun of it.

Three young daughters, 70 mile commute through a tunnel and two bridges daily, gas prices soaring. I had to have an 05 regardless.

You certainly don't have to worry about seeing too many ETC's. They didn't sell worth crap when they were new and there aren't many still running 7 years later!!!

My Eldorado runs better than any Mustang out there. The suspension is great, and it accelerates smoothly. They didn't sell very well because there wasn't as big of a market for luxury coupes back in the 90's, now there is a huge market for these types of car.

I love my Eldorado because of the fact that it's unique, and not as bland as some of the cars of today.

Don't get me wrong, the Mustang is a great car, but it just wasn't for me. If your happy with your car, then that's all that counts, isn't it?

A huge market for large front-drive coupes? You're kidding, right? I'm really glad you like your car but don't make yourself look silly.

Trading a beautiful shiny apple for an old moldy orange.

Oh come one guys... cut the man some slack! he's a real estate dude (as noted in his profile) and needs a conservative car to drag house hunters from open house to open house.

Biggest downside from his perspective is that Cadillacs in North Scottsdale are a dime a dozen... Of course he could always take it over to Scottsdale Fashion Center where a Lexus is considered an economy car!! Cadillacs are several steps beneath!
