Just use the rear one. Front is for cell phone.

Actually, that brings up a glaring omission. Cell phone charger. Is it possible to hook up a USB interface to the old cig lighter wiring and then just poke a cable out from under the console?

I was just going to post this link.....finally a production piece, props to LMR, only took 30yrs.
I would probably sink a 12v outlet somewhere in there and connect to factory cig liter wiring.
Would be available for nav etc. and could also use one of those USB 12v adapter thingys.
Also the video doesn't show it but it looks like you can keep the factory armrest which is nice
for some more storage between that and the tray that's molded into the piece.

Cell phones go in the spot under the armrest. They fit perfect, at least my Iphone does.

Im keeping my ashtray, its where I put my spare change. My ashtray door still works. Personally I like the way the console looks without cupholders, with a closed ashtray door. Although that black and gray interior looks pretty good with those cupholders in it.

I may add a pair of USB charging ports somewhere semi hidden in the console area

I would use these:

With just about any hobby battery pack, you can design this so that an individual battery pack charges when the car is on.

When the car is off, you recharge your devices with a built-in battery.
When the car is on, it will power/recharge your devices plus the backup battery.
You can also install a switch that cuts output power from the board completely.
Use a regular ole everyday 5V car charger to power the thing when engine is on.
Should also serve as a line noise canceler for those with AUX ports and noisy power at the 12V outlet.

I really like it, I may stray a little from stock for some cup holders. But there is no arm rest.

Armrest is separate from that plate. You can chose to run your stock armrest, or the delete.

To be honest, the delete looks pretty clean

I expect those to sell out pretty quick

Why I decided to pull the trigger. The online community is buzzing over these
