sounds like hell

It's a 96 cobra stock headers, Bassani o/r x to flowmasters and pukeing out 3.5 inch tips. Man it sounds great over 4 grand, but like hell when downshifting and cruising below 4. I know what borla sounds like with my set-up but i'm not paying that much damn money for mufflers. I think i screwed up with chambered mufflers. Are magnapacks going to get rid of that nasty drone or what do you guys think sounds the ballsiest?

magnaflows - I have spent over three weeks on this same subject I am ordering them tomorrow! I have the same setup as you and it does sound like hell.... WOT sounds mean, but just driving around sounds like a v6 with glass packs... but magnaflows provide a mean growl! go to magnaflow.com and hear it... but keep in mind that it is quiet due to factory h pipe with cats... it still sounds awesome though

get the magnaflows....ive got a bassani o/r pipe back up with mags and its ****ing awsome....i cried when i started it up for the first time

Yes Magnaflows do sound great. I had hooker longtubes/xpipe with my flows, and my mustang did not sound like anyone elses stang around my area. Sounded good when driving low rpm's, but when I hit it....dam what a sound.

Whish I had them on my cobra now...I have the steeda cat back which does sound nice when you hit it, but I really fell in luv with that magnaflow sound.

Borla xr-1's arent that expensive. I bought mine from Jegs for 101.00 a peice for the 2.5" The magnaflows were 96 a peice!

I have the same set up on my 04 cobra. Bassani headers, o/r x and American thunder Catback, and I am starting to hate the shound. What should I be looking into, Magnaflow, or should I try the bassani cat back? Any help?

Flowmasters+x-pipe=yucky...It's loud, but that's about it...I'm switching to bassani when the funds are available...
