Spark HIDs?

I have the kit that runs a dual filament bulbs instead of the magnet alignment trick.

These guys are a sponsor of our local club.
Go to www.genuinehid.com to check them out.
Here are their deals...

"We are offering a special price to all the RKC family.
Single Beam HID kits (one bulb) are $150 shipping and tax included.
Dual Beam HID (low-xenon, high-halogen) are $175 shipping and tax included."

HID

Why would you want to go with a kit that has only one beam, or one that has a halogen high beam? When you switch from high back to HID low, it will take seconds for the HID to come back up. The Bixenon kit from Retro-Solutions is HID high and low (the bulb is position switched so it never is turned off so there is no restart). Their kit is, I believe, the best one on the market - they also have great customer service. I have been using the Retro-Solutions 35W, 6000K kit for over a year with not one problem. At least when I bought mine, the kit was covered with a lifetime warranty. :nice:

Yeh I have Retro Solutions and there the SHZNT! I have the 8000k Bi exon and the 3000k for my fogs ! Best investment for my car thus far ! Suberb customer service and great deals! Cant beat ....FYI there ALL plug and play and they took me 5 minutes to install and 20 to find a place for the ballast ! LOL!

Just remember - the law of "You get what you pay for" has not yet been repealed.

Normally I'd agree with you but HIDs are a completely different story. These ballasts and bulbs are all imported by generally the same company. They are all the same thing with different stickers. I've seen 10 different sets from various companies and they were all the same exact thing down to the T.

So if I was looking to upgrade to these for both my headlights and fogs, I would need:

HID Conversion Kits - Bi-Xenon Model (Dual Beam Xenon) VVME.COM LLC Your Best HID KIT Supplier
size H13-3

and

HID Conversion Kits - Single Beam Model VVME.COM LLC Your Best HID KIT Supplier
size H10

Any thing else that I would need? Are these sizes correct?

Yes, that is the kit I have (Bi Xenon) I can only go by my own experience, but I have had them for 2 years and they have been trouble free. It took about 30 mins to install, and was completely plug 'n' play. As someone else mentioned, the hardest part is finding a spot for the ballasts!

Just one point, I started with the 6000 bulbs, but found them too blue for my liking, and eventually swapped them out for the 4300's. These are the brightest, and also the closest to OEM HID.

Andy.

After doing more research, I read how super bright these are even when compared to factory HIDs, to the point where they are blinding to oncoming drivers. I don't want to cause others to crash because of my headlights.

Honestly not a problem. As long as they are aligned correctly then everything should be ok. I certainly haven't had an issue with oncoming cars flashing me. Ultimately though, it is your call...

What happens when switching between high and low beam? Do you lose lighting at all? Does the low beam stay on at all times?

just curious on this aspect?

I have the Retro-Solutions Bi-Xenon kit. In this kit, the bulb stays on and when you switch from hi to lo, a small solenoid in the bulb unit simply changes the position of the bulb, so you never loose your light when you go back & forth from hi to lo. Very cool.

Most people don't take the time to re-aim them, normally down and wonder why people are flashing them ... :notnice:

Yep, that is very true. The first thing I did after the install was get the alignment checked, so no problems at all.
BTW Nasty, just wanted to say, that TVS setup you have is mind-blowing. I am looking to get blown later this year and if I can afford it I will definitely be taking your route:hail2: (Sorry to go off topic)

Yes, this is exactly how this kit works also. It is one bulb, that moves up and down to give you Hi-Lo beam.
