Spedo Problem.

Well b4 i took my car off the road my spedo was acting up... id be going like 40 it would read 10.... id smack the dash and it would come back up... some times it wouldnt start reading till i was over 45 and it would jump up and all over the place.... check the gear in the trans and measured the voltage of the VSS... all is well... i think i need a new cluster...

mine is doing the same thing. I thing it's a loose connection on the cluster somewhere. sometimes just a little push on the lens makes it start working again for me

the speedo has a worm gear right behing it in the cluster. common for them to disintegrate. mine started to go, took it apart, almost ordered a new one, but got by with super glueing it. take it apart, have a look.
