i put this in 4.6 tech because even though its an explorer, it still has the 4.6 V8.

my problem is, i just went on a long trip with it, on some great open highways, and the friggin 105-106 top speed limiter kept stoping me from getting all the speed i can. at one point this celica came up next to me when i was doing 80, i floored it to limit, beat him the whole way then he past me!

anyway, i dont want 200 out of it, but is there any way i can get it to go 120? would it be easy or would i have to reprogram it? thanks for any help!

Jesus dude, your in an explorer!!! Higher center of gravity = flips easily!

Use the stang to have some fun, the explorer to take the kids out and get some groceries.

But yes you can have it reflashed or cut a wire and put a switch inline to allow you to go over the 106 limiter.

yeah, i know its stupid, but when i feel the need i just kinda go for it. that thing has some real pickup.

now, about this inline switch, where can i get one? and which wire do i cut?

i just cant help it *cry*. no, seriously though, your probably right. but its still fun, you should have seen the look on his face when i took off.

i think i might start getting stuff to make that faster over my GT, lol. but man that K&N is really helping, i can hear the air being sucked in. i think 120 would still be safe though......as long as i dont turn hard. im taking 35MPH off ramps at 70 so its not like it cant handle, you just gotta take it smooth :)

my 03 limited has advance trac and roll stablity, i thought all V8's had that? i know the power is there, but the limiter gets in the way.

i hit the 106 limit easily, how do you mean wont roll up there?
