Hi,
I was offered a T3650 Transmission which I'd like to put into my '96 GT. (Well I'll put in a '99 Cobra engine as well but that's a different story).

My issue is that the T3650 has provisions for an electical speedometer drive, while my car has a mechanical speedo drive. I need to find a way to convert this. From mech to electic should be rather easy, but this way?

Has anyone ever done this?
Are there any kits available for this conversion?
Once at it, will the T3650 fit with the driveshaft and transmission mounts from my T45, or are further mods required? Thank you!!

i know that in T-45, you need to replace rear section with speedo drive to retro fit new one in to older one (or visa versa), or something similer to that. Now I'm not sure if TR3650 is different enough to point where speedo drive section can not be retro fitted.
I think you better off look for T45 off of 1999~2001 1/2. they are cheap enough these days(i got my replacement with 21000miles for $350 off of 2000)
