haha im just full of problems lately arent i?

ok so my speedo worked fine before with my AODE, swapped in the T5 (reused old speed sensor and gear) and now shes not working. should i go ahead and buy a new speed sensor from 50resto? stock sensor has about 127K miles on it

dude, i have the SAME exact problem. I still havnt figured it out or gotten any answers. As a bandaid, i recomend just giving it a quick hit of the gas before you put the clutch in. Nothing sever, just as little as 100rpm will do it. Itll keep it from stalling. Mine only stalls if you put the clutch in as the rpm's are climing down. Mines been like this for 2 months!

SOMEONE ANSWER!!!! :(

my problem came after i put the newer T5 in as my old one took a **** on me. It was always a stick tho.

Hey man, I think the speedo gears are slightly different between the autos and manuals.... but I may be wrong. If so, that could be your problem.

As far as the clutch/idle deal ... I don't know much about swaps. Never knew anything about AODE setups, but could it be a computer thing? You know, maybe a spec that the AODE setup had ... that the T-5 setup don't need, or visa-versa? .....

well i swapped computers to a 5speed comp

im pretty sure it has to do with my cam and new injectors/MAF(did a whole H/C/I swap at the same time)

BTW:

anyone whos swapped gears with a T5 and still has their stock speedo gear sitting around for 2.73's wanna sell it :D?

i bought a new speed sensor (vss) from 50resto and later today ill try my speedo gear for 3.73's too kinda trouble shoot and see if its just the gear from my AODE causing it not to work

keep me posted with how it goes... and BTW, i thought there were different speedo gears for auto and t-5's last time i cheched to find a new gear for 3.73's i thought they were diferent... good luck!

ok i feel like a doof, the plug for the sensor wasnt all the way down :bang:

i cleaned both connections with a q-tip, plugged it in all the way and speedo works great now

also no more stalling when i come to a stop but now i have a check engine light and need to pull codes

drives great tho:D

i think it was all related to the VSS not being plugged in all the way because as soon as that was fixed it stopped stalling.. wierd..

i didnt buy a kit, i bought the tranny/bell/clutch fork/cable from the same guy so all i had to piece together for it was pedals, computer, clutch and flywheel
