I just installed bbk long tubes (cermaic), bbk h-pipe /w high flow cats, spin tech pros treets and flowmaster tails... going from a 2 1/4 prev setup /w offroad hpipe (custom made etc) and flowmaster 40's. I remember the 40's being a lot louder... especially at idle.

Anyone else have pro streets tell me if their idle is quieter... it sounds wicked at WOT 3-5k rpm... but i'm wondering if I need to ditch the cats or get dumps to get my rubmle back at idle. It sounds like it's there when I crouch down behind the car... but definately a lot quieter than the previous setup /w no cats and 40's.

If you had an offroad H before and you've got cats now, then that's your problem.

Here ya go....these are 3'' Prostreets and they've probably got a lot more engine going through them than you have, but you can still see they're NOT quiet....lol. These are dumped though so maybe try that first and then the cats, but i'd do the cats first myself.

I have Spintechs on my Cobra and they are loud as piss. I have headers and an O/R X pipe too. If you take the cats out it will be louder, plus you'll make more power.

Spintech, in my opinion, are the loudest non-race mufflers.

ok.. what I figured. Guess i'll find a h or x pipe... havn't heard an x pipe on my car yet... mabey check it out. I'm addicted to the nascar sound I'm getting at high RPM /w these long tubes and pro streets.

Only have 4 more years of emissions testing here in texas for my car

LTs, X-pipe and Spintechs on mine now... Extremely loud up top, decently loud down low, sounds mean!

Were you able to run tail pipes with Spintech Mufflers?

I have tailpipes on my spintechs. Still have to weld on some hangers to the mufflers, and some hangers on my off road X, and it should be perfect!

I have been considering Spintechs, but was trying to figure out if I could use my Flowmaster Tail Pipes with them.

Not sure what tails I have, but they are just standard 2.5" ones with stainless tips. We got them off a wrecked car and I have NO idea what the rest of the catback consisted of (IE have NO idea the brand). I bought some intermediates off Mustangs Unlimited, and mounted it all together. Just need hangers and its all good!

If you get them get us some videos for sound too. I am also considering the spintechs, but I just bought some mufflers and Im happy with them, Maybe next summer I'll swap them out if I get tired of them.

I'd definately go with a o/r H or X, you're really noticing the difference since you switched from o/r to catted.
