So Im on the fence about a click away from ordering a set of pro streets for my GT to replace my super 44's. I have never heard these in person but just heard them on youtube etc...my setup will be what you see in my sig, O/R h-pipe, maybe just welded into my existing setup with tails to replace the flow 44's, maybe dumped...but that can be decided later

I like how they sound fairly unique and a little crackly (again from what I hear on youtube, etc) car doesn't have to have smog and if it has some drone I can deal with that (car has had mac pro dumps so Im well familiar with drone lol)

someone help talk me into/out of this purchase are they insanely loud like an old truck with open headers or are they mustang worthy?

They're loud, in that "Flowmaster 40 series aren't quite loud enough, I'm going for the 'attract every cop in a one mile radius' type of loud" sense.

you cant definitely get louder. I was about to switch from my bullets to spintechs before I tore my car down. Probably will still get them later. I say go for it, every one i've heard sounds amazing.

loud yes, but on the same token in person, it doesnt sound like just a resonator or cherry bomb?

"Loud" doesn't necessarily equate to "good" when it comes to exhaust.

Thats what I was trying to ask, I dont want just noise and racket. What I was asking is..although its apparent that this particular muffler is louder, in stangnet's opinion does it have a nice exhaust note in person, as all the sounds I have heard of it were online

this is it now with the super 44's I just wanted something different

Pro streets are loud, and are a nasty (raspy) sounding muffler IMHO. I love them on a healthy fox. That being said, you get more attention, from everyone, cops included.

I personally wouldn't go with them unless this car is just a hobby/toy, or a track car. You will most likely get tired of the sound level after a few weeks if the car is a DD.

get the sportsmans if you plan on driving at all on the street.

I had the sportsmans on my 300rwhp falcon and it was nice while cruising and very loud at WOT.

they arent just noise and racket, they sound awesome, and you dont have to get pro streets you can go with the sportsmans, which are quieter, designed to run with no cats and still have that really angry sound.

I say just do it, i LOVED them on my 302, but when i switched to a built motor they were too much for me... Everyone that heard my car with them said it sounded sick, definitly nothing like a truck with glasspacks, and it didnt sound like a mustang anymore. they just scream

check my stuff out on youtube under thedoc612, the older vids are the ones with prostreets on the car

I have a set of spintech pro streets on my H/C/I coupe through 3" tails and they sound amazing. They're relatively docile at idle but really scream at WOT. I love the way they sound and recommend them to everyone. They'll even weld on flowtubes for a few bucks more. Unfortunately, I'll be losing chambered mufflers altogether soon... since a 3" open downpipe is in my future

I run Spintech pro streets dumped, and they are very loud. Not truck sounding, more raspy. Up top they make a lot of noise, at idle they aren't bad.

Spintechs aren't my first choice but just about ANYTHING is better than slowmasters. Macs sound good.

I switched from pro dumps to pro streets, and I think they quieted my car down at idle but they scream up top. I'm glad I made the switch because my car doesn't sound like every other mustang out there, and i love the way it sounds.
