split port heads and single port heads what's the difference

what is the difference between lets say a 95 head and a 2000 head. will the 2000 bolt to a single port intake. i was told no but i wanna make sure. thanks.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think they will. To make things simpler and cheaper, you'd be better off just bolting on 94+ ported and polished heads. I know there's a ton of companies out there that put out better flowing 94-98 pp heads than the 99+ stock ones.

Split port heads have two runners per port. One is smaller and the other is larger to help the air flow at lower speeds. NOw I am 100% sure the 2K heads won't bolt up to the 95 block.
