Now, the range is [high] though I don't consider it crazy. It may be enough to cause trouble?

Sorry, I'm confused. The range for what?

Removing it didn't change the issue. I think it looks somewhat like this?

Ford 60 Pin EEC4 EECIV PCM Connector

Our Ford 60 Pin PCM Connector is an OEM connectors with non-functional blemishes, harvested from genuine Ford EECIV PCM's.

#2 injector drops to 9.5 volts while cranking, with ignition on it has 11.75 volts.

Test light does not flash or come one when testing TFI. This means the TFI is bad correct?

It's supposed to be a 22k Ohm resistor but your reading came out

If that is correct, 39 ohms is almost nothing it that 39.4 K ohms?

That is a problem. It may be time to dig out that resistor so that you can test it independently, at the very least.

Perhaps at the same time? If it were me, I'd pick up the TFI and a resistor on the same trip just to have them on-hand.

I know you're getting nailed with tech articles but check this one out too when you get a chance:

Blowing pip sensor

Recently picked up an 87 lx 5 speed 5.0 drove it 3 times and the pip stopped working so I replaced the distributor with a new one the car started no problem went for a drive for maybe 5 mins then it died and the pip isn’t working again Any ideas why the pip keeps going and how to fix it ? Thanks

So I just tested the resistor @ 21.79K ohms. I think this is a good sign?
I think I made a mistake before.

When I had a similar issue with the Spout running good when out and not running when the Spout was connected the issue turned out to be the distributor shaft shorting to ground due to a burnt out bronze bushing giving too much play...............

It might be cheaper to replace the whole distributor than just the TFI module as the pickup module is also a wear item and considered bad when the rubber feels rubbery instead of being hard n firm...............

The picture of the 60 pin adapter looks like one used in conjunction with a diagnostic breakout box that diagnoses the system as the vehicle is running and in just KOEOn mode.

If you can post a pic of the other side it would be helpful.....

Good Luck

I replaced the distributor yesterday in preparation for an upcoming build. MSD pro billet. After timing it appropriately, 10* without SPOUT, it runs far better, and keeps running with the spout connected.
