Spring inside distributioning block?

I was installing non abs brake lines on my car and opened the rear port on the block and their was a spring inside of it. I’m not sure if anything flew out but rn all I have is the spring and the bolt that caps it off. I’ve heard you can take these apart but would I be ok to just put it back together and run it?

The spring is for the shuttle valve in the back half of the proportioning valve. The shuttle valve is a safety feature that restricts flow in the case of a line failure.

Whe you remove the rear plug and install the non-abs SN95 fitting you want to reinstall the spring to keep this intact

If anyone is wondering what we are talking about see this thread
