I am getting ready to install my Eibach springs and have a few questions. I have heard of a method for removing the springs, but just want to make sure that it will work. I was thinking about putting the car up on jack stands, supporting the a-arm with a floor jack, removing the strut, and then slowly lowering the a-arm until the spring falls out. Installing would just be the reverse. I did do a search and found a few different methods, but I do not want to unbolt the a-arm and I cannot find or afford a Ford spring compressor. Will this work? Thanks for the help in advance!
....but thats how I did mine same with the back springs support the car with jackstands put the jack under the lower control arm put a lil pressure on it unbolt it lower it down slow and swap the springs and rubber isolaters..a trick to do the front is if you have an impact gun take and put an 18mm on and just take the main center strut bolt out and lower it down..I did mine in 45 mintues.
