sputtering and stalling

now since i have been running the car with 42 my car sputters until i get up in the rpms. i still havent had time or money for a tune if thats whats causing my problem. sometimes at idle if i tap the gas it will stall out. i need to check my plug gap since i think i forgot to regap them to .040. i dont know if they are fouled. i have new plug wires and a coil along with an ignition module. not sure if its my dizzy or pickup. when it does stall out. somtimes i can start it back up by holding the gas pedal down to shut off fuel to the injectors and sometimes it wont start until a few minutes later. im kinda stumped on this one

Just something simple to try first. Try zeroing the caps to wipe out the PCM memory. That actually took care of all my driveability issues a while back after a slew of mods I made that wouldnt even let my car idle, lol. Just disconnect the battery and put both B+ and B- together for a bit then hook it back up and see what happens.
