Squeak

i have a squeaky sound from under neath the car, when i was under the car while it was running it sounded like it was coming from the front passenger side of the transmission ( manual) the sound is effected by rpm's( higher rpm= faster squeak ) i noticed that at the connection of the transmission to my drive shaft there is fluid leaking but it doesn't look like much. I am thinking the sound might be from low fluid in the tranny but there isn't really a way to check that i know of.

Any ideas? should i try adding some fluid.

Car has about 45,000 on it. (2004)

does the squeak go away when you push the clutch pedal down?

If it does then it's the TOB and the transmission needs to come out to replace it.

no it is not the TOB, it doesn't go away when clutch is in. It is not a very loud sound, it is actually hard to hear over the exhuast but when i was under i could hear it well.
