Hey Deysha, I'm having the same issue with my 2016 mustang gt premium performance package. It only has a bit over 3k miles and the front brakes make a deep squeak when I brake at very low speeds. It's getting very annoying, loud and embarrassing. I see that this post is a year old, I hope your still helping with this issue.

Thanks

I'm having the exact same issue on my 16-GT PP @3000 miles. Has anyone found a solution to this?

My wife just got her 2017 GT350 and it has the same issue, under light breaking there is loud squealing. This is very embarrassing, can Ford do anything to fix this?

Try slamming on the brakes from 50+ mph to a dead stop a couple of times in a row then let them cool over night. It may help, it may not.

I'm getting the same issue and it's killing me. 15-GT PP. Ford refuses to recognize this as an issue.

My 15 V6 is at the dealer now. This is the 3rd time I've had it in for this issue and they say that they can't detect the problem. I mentioned the TSB and they said it doesn't apply to my vehicle. This is getting ridiculous. Having a brand new car that squeals like a banshee is embarrassing. Has anyone with a V6 had this issue, has it been resolved?!

Every Ford dealership I've ever worked for has used BG products. Those two products (sold in a kit most of the time) work 99% of the time (even on the crappy Autozone pads). I'm betting the only reason they haven't tried it yet is because Ford won't pay for aftermarket services like that for warranty issues.

They couldn't detect the issue on my 2015 GT Premium with PP either. Since I had 6-piston calipers instead of the 4-piston specified in the TSB, they wouldn't honor the TSB. I brought it in 6 times, but the 6th time I had reached out to @FordService on Twitter and they put me in touch with my local customer service representative. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Reach out on Twitter as described above
2. Talk with your CSR telling her/him that you will be going in to the shop on [future date].
3. When you drop it off, ask to speak to the service manager. You will want to arrange with him to personally see to your car's care.
4. Arrange to drive the service manager around until YOU reproduce the issue. Mine was intermittent, and even though it squealed 85% of the time for me, it took 40 minutes of driving until the manager heard it.
5. They'll try resurfacing the rotors.
6. You'll hear it again.
7. Repeat steps 2-4.
8. Manager hears it again, after weeks of research they'll make an exception for you and replace the brake pads.
I've logged 4,000 miles since the replaced brake pads and not heard a sound.

Good luck.

There's got to be an easier way... My 2015 GT PP with 32k miles has gotten worse and worse. It's extremely embarrassing to have a car that turns heads but squeals like a dying pig! The ticket taker at the garage where I park everyday holds her ears every time I pull up!!!! Seriously! I do not hands time to jack with my dealer about this again! Is there anything anyone has done themselves to solve this? Are there any ceramic replacements for the 2015 GT?

Is your car strictly a daily driver? I beat the crap out of my brakes. Full abs stops from over 100 and I don't have any issues. Have you tried finding a quiet area where you can really work the brakes ?

Well, I tried it and it worked for a day! Now I'm back to squeaky town. It is a daily driver... I'll try this again and see if it helps again.

My opinion on the matter: With the bigger performance brakes if the pads and rotors aren't getting well seated there is going to be that vibration that creates the squeal. I think the brakes on these cars are extremely touchy compared to any other avg car, and with daily driving you are barely using them to their potential. Sign up for an auto cross or a High Performance Driving Education. They are both a lot of fun!!!

PLEASE HELP, I HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. I took my 2015 Mustang in for service this past Friday. The technician stated that there was a little brake dust that they cleaned off of the rotors and that everything should be fine. He also stated he drove my vehicle himself and did not hear the squealing anymore. Low and behold the squealing was back on Sunday, March 26, 2017. This squealing is so annoying and embarrassing. I remember reading Gabe Martinez comment in regards to them not being allowed to put asbestos pads in and that's the exact same thing the Ford dealership in Harvey, La. told me. Does anyone have any suggestions, PLEASE!

I've got the same issue with my 2016 mustang GT pp with just under 3k miles. I've brought it up to service and I was told they would machine the rotors. I decided against that. I plan on pulling off each wheel and just cleaning the rotors myself with brake cleaner.

I have a 2016 Mustang GT w/ Performance Package (built on October 2015). I know that Ford acknowledged an issue on 2015 Mustang GTs w/ Performance Package and issued a notice that they would replace rotors and brake pads (TSB 15-0030), but Ford has not acknowledged any issues with 2016 and newer models. Has anyone with a 2016+ GT w/ PP found any sort of resolution for their squealing brakes? It sounds like nails on a chalkboard when applying moderate pressure to the brakes, usually anywhere within the 5 mph-40 mph range . We have brought my 2016 GT w/ PP in for service on multiple occasions:
The first time they told us that 'high performance brakes are often noisy'. We argued that we did not pay more for the performance package to get squealing brakes. We have driven $200,000 high performance cars that had absolutely no squealing. So they agreed to turn the front rotors and scuff the pads (even though they initially told us that the front rotors are not supposed to be turned). After this service, the squealing slowly came back.
The second time, the service manager rode along with us and 'heard the squealing coming from the rear brakes', so they changed the rear brake pads and turned the rear rotors. The brakes still squealed.
The third time, they kept the car in the shop for several days and could not figure out what the issue was, so they did a non-directional finishing on front and rear rotors. The brakes squealed worse than ever after that 'fix'.
So it seems like they do not even know the cause of the issue or where the noise is coming from. Ironically, each time we have picked the car up, the notes from the dealership say that the tech 'did not hear any squealing once they test drove it after fixing the issue'.
After the third time in for service, the dealership told us that they are done trying to fix it and there is nothing more they can do, and that we should complain to Ford Corporate. We called the Ford Customer Service Hotline, and they told us that 'dealerships are the eyes and ears of Ford, and if there is truly a problem, then the dealership would be the one to report it and elevate the issue for the customer'. They also told us that we 'need to bring the car into another dealership for a 2nd opinion.' So we did just that. We drove to another dealership and were immediately turned away by the service manager; he told us that we need to bring it back to the original dealership. He said 'Each Ford dealership is independently owned and operated' and he was not going to 'take on their headache'. So we are getting the run-around, being told by Ford Corporate to go to another dealership to have another tech take a look and have the issue resolved there, but the new dealership says to bring it back to the original dealership, where the origInal dealership says to call the customer service. THIS IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE, AND ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM A WELL-ESTABLISHED CORPORATION. This is absolutely ridiculous that we can't even get the dealership to replace the pads and rotors for the front and rear brakes at the same time. We are strongly looking to seek legal action against Ford, if no one agrees to own up to this issue.

So I finally got around to pulling off the wheels. I did not pull off the calipers, but I just sprayed some brake cleaner, brushed off the rust and dust. I doubt this will do much since I didn't bother looking at the pads.
This is what it looked like when I pulled off the wheels...

I cleaned it up and it looked like this...

I haven't tested it so I don't know if what I did works or for how long but I'll keep everyone up to date.

*Did this all the way around the car*

Bad news.. It did not stop the squealing issue. It took a while to replicate, but I think its with the pads and not the rotors.

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

It's been a while since I posted. I've had nothing done to the car. I have almost 10k miles on my 16 GT PP. and I've forgotten there was a brake issue.. it just went away.
I'm hoping more people are having the same luck as me.

Hi — I’m having the same issue. I’ve had my 2015 5.0 GT for 2 years and the brakes squeak pretty much nonstop. At low speeds only. I’ve taken it to two ford dealerships in Chicago and they tell me everything is fine it’s just how they are. The noise is embarrassing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
