Hello all,
I have a 2000 mustang with 64000 miles on it and it just started this squealing and grinding sound coming from the rear passenger side wheel(Drive wheel if im not mistaken).I checked the diff. fluid it was fine, took off the breather cap on that axel and cleaned it alittle. There is no leak.
Im not really sure where to turn next, I thought mabey the brakes but ive never heard of brakes making a grinding noise. The Rotor is cut on that side.
I also thought wheel bearing.

Any help would be much appriciated

The rotor is cut? You have a groove in the face of the rotor? Your brake pad is probably worn through the metal and the steel backing plate is damaging the rotor. If you're lucky a shop will still be able to turn the rotor and get rid of the groove.
Also make sure to check that the caliper is not sticking, and make sure there's no foreign object stuck there.
