50resto has a pretty sweet sale on MM SS brake lines. I have had a set of Bullitt brakes sitting in my garage since last Mustang Week, just haven't got to installing them.

I assume MM is pretty much the best in that respect. Last Call Racing does have a set of their brand SS lines for about $15 less... anyone know the quality of them? And it says 99-04 Mustangs, but the picture only shows two bolts for where the lines mount to the calipers... I assume for the GT lines. But MM's come with bolts for a GT or Cobra, which makes me want to go with them.

Also, I have the rear brakes as well. I don't, however, have the brackets that attach to the axle. I read somewhere that the axle shafts have to be pulled to change these... true? If so, is it really worth doing all that? The rear GT brakes suck terribly, but I'm thinking they'll suffice enough for what I do especially with the Bullitts up front.

Opinions and suggestions welcome.

I just got done changing my brakes to cobras and yeah, you do have to pull the axles to change the rear. Is it worth for you to change the rears, you having to buy the brackets, rear end oil, pads and rotors? Not really, The calibers are the same, just runs a bigger rotor. And yes MM lines are just fine, 99-04 gt's run PBR brakes so they use the same line hardware as the cobra/bullet/mach 1.

If you do use SS brake lines, make sure you install them carefully so they don't contact the wheel. About 6 months after installing the Mach 1/Bullitt brake kit, I took my wheels off to clean them up and noticed the teflon coating on the SS brake line had been worn off partially. Turns out the inside of my wheel would contact the brake line at full turn. Long story short, I re-positioned the brake line fittings and it doesn't rub anymore. Had I not noticed it, however, I could have burned through the line and it would have caused catastrophic failure. In fact, I think there was a user on here with a laser red SN-95 aero that crashed after a SS brake line failed.... it likely failed due to this very scenario.
