i got a 94 v6 5 speed manual. its pretty much stock. the car takes a few tries to get started but when it starts itll idle fine, but when i but it in gear and go to take off it will bog down and stall. the only code that comes up is the camsenor circut. i got a new cam sensor and it didnt change anything at all. i thought i had leaks in the manifold so i took that off and put it back on and i made sure i sealed it up pretty good. i tired cleanin the injectors, my fuel pump is good. i got a new maf sensor, the thing i can think of is the fuel pressure regulator or the key is messed up on the cam, please help im completly baffled.

id spend the forty bucks on a fuel pressure regulator. the key on the cam, if it was messed up, wouldnt turn the sprocket, thus leaving the valvetrain stuck in one poisition, and since it idles fine, thats ruled out.

my 97 3.8L 5spd ran ten times better with improved fuel economy after i changed my FPR.

good luck!

also, if youre still concerned about something leaking, try spraying carb cleaner all around while its running, if the idle shoots up when you spray it, check that area for leaks.

I highly doubt it's a cam sensor problem.I can unplug the cam sensor in my 96 and start it right up.It runs fine with a slight hesitation under heavy throttle. The crank sensor is what keeps it going.

I would highly suspect the coil pack if it also backfires. How many miles on it? Have you changed your fuel filter lately?
