...we get legal bs taken care of. The guy we bought it from never put the title in his name and rolled the odometer back to 74,000 (I am led to believe it was rolled from 174,000). So when we bought it, he gave us the title and told us that it was good.

So my mom went to get the title switched over and the car registered, and they say that we need the original owner's signature. Of course, being the people that they are, they told us to go to the guy we bought it from because they don't want anything to do with it.

So until we get the liability off of our back and the title in my name, the car's registration is expired and is going to sit in my driveway.

I guess it'll give me time to save that gas money and buy parts for it . It's getting a Viper 791XV put on tonight, but after that, it's sitting in the driveway.

Let me have your opinion on this whole thing.

Odom. rolling is big trouble, at least i know someone in schen. Ny got 5years for it and he did not own a garage or anything it was his personal car he did it too. From that point, its SOoooo stupid to role the odom. especially on these cars, the computer records alot of this anyways and it can be looked up, correct me if im wrong but ive been told this numerous times. Eitherway its stupid to risk it a car normally shows the wear anywayss

Well, I realized that it's a 1 of a kind car to me. I've honestly never seen another one JUST LIKE IT around here, and this one is perfect, exactly what I wanted.

We have an attourney on the case right now, but he's not doing crap.

And yes, odometer fraud is a federal offense...

Are you stuck with the car? Can you still get your money back from the seller? Can you sell it legally? I know you love that car but, trust me, there will be others. Like me, you are new to Mustangs. Your first love won't be your last.

If you are really stuck with the car -- can't return it and can't sell it, then sell it for parts. You could possibly get more out of it than trying to sell it as a whole.

I don't understand...The car is worth significantly less than what was paid for it. It is definantly worth less than just 500 dollars if it has 100k more miles than advertised. That in itself would make me want to run the guy over with the car.

Second, the state can enforce the law without the lawyer. Get with the DMV and I bet they can steer you in the right direction. I'd go that route...at least make the mf'er give you some money back.

Right now you are stuck with a car you can't drive...I'd be mad as hell and do everything I could think of to get some satisfaction.

get the state on your case, make him take the car back and refund your money. then sue for damages to pay for some mods to your next, low mileage mustang.

The car is worth nothing anymore. Good luck getting someone to buy a car that has the miles rolled back when or if you go to sell it.

Get rid of that car asap. Its way better $$ wise.

Its not a special car, they are a dime a dozen. Just look around more.
