Stang help.. catalogs and blower info.

I havent owned a stang in over a year but a buddy of mine talked me into helping him find one so we finally did. Its a 306 with a Vortech on it. I know very little about blowers as ive always been a nitrous guy my self. The car runs real strong but I dont think it runs the 10.80s the guy claimed. I need to know if there is a good book out there on supercharging mustangs so I can try and get caught up on all of this. Also I need to know just about every major free catalog for restoration and performance I should go and get. Thanks for your help guys. This forum used to be my home away from home and its nice to be able to post again. :SNSign:

50resto is also in texas so that might be great for you

i dont know what you are trying to learn about SCs but if you search around here and other mustang sites you can pretty much find anything you wanna know

If you have blower questions, just ask away. Most of us here will be able to help you in some form or another. ProCharger, Vortech, Paxton, Kenne Bell, Mag., Whipple, Eaton, whatever you want!

Edit: For more general stuff (outside fox body), there is a "Power Adder" forum here as well.

All of those magazines are good. Those pretty much cover the basics.

Thanks for the input.. what im seeing on his car that worries me is the way they tapped into the oil pan for what looks like an oil feed for the vortech... major leaks around this and the car loses lots of oil when driving which seems much worse when you get on the car. He also said he blocked off the PCV valve and it has a breather on the oil fill tube... does this sound right? Im kinda wondering what condition his rear main seal is in.. I have to do a throwout bearing swap so ill take a look at it then.
