has anyone else ever gotten bored with their stang?
i bought me a nice DD 2 weeks ago. 95 s10 4.3 5spd. runs great, quiet and gets better milage. just overall a smoother ride to a from tech school and work. i really like it, i was getting tired of driving the stang all the time.

sine then the stang has been sitting at my house, i dont do anything to it anymore. I go to tech school all day and work part time at night, i have no real free time at all during the week and i am with my gf who comes home from college or i either go up there to see her. i have also really been working on welding, i plan to get a nice job welding or soem fab work when i get done with school and i have really been focusing on that more lately.

i just dont seem to have time for the stang anymore.
its like all that time and money was wasted.

i started her up to day and drove to her this afternoon to my welding class. i love stangs, but my car just doesnt seem to have that ARGH anymore. it doesnt seem near as fun as it used to be. I miss the days when i was in high school and all i did was mod the stang and tinker. now i barely get time to even pop the hood anymore.

i almost feel like selling it but i know for sure i would instantly regret it.

i am sure alot of you guys have done this. so should i just keep her around and wait for things to get better?

just seems like the journey is over. not really anything i can do to my car, a TB is all i have left. other than that i have dont almost everything except for a power adder or suspension stuff.

I took mine to New Hampshire last month for the Fun Ford Event (2.5 hour ride - each way.) After driving it for 3 days straight, I was kind of sick of it. I then drove my beater '81 Mustang with the 6 cylinder for a week and then went on vacation for another week. When I got back, I fired her up and my smile looked like this. Yes, even a show car can get boring every once in awhile.

I dont feel that way at all. I have had my car for 5 years and there hasn't been a day when I have felt tired of it.

Yeah you really need to take a break from it to keep it fresh. I'm really bored with the power of my car...it needs more hp soon or i'm gonna lose interest.

Last drive for the year tonight...surprise surprise...old guy approaches..."nice car, my son has one just like it". Think I hear that from at least one person every time out. Mustang is like belly button...everyone has one.

I haven't been driving too long but I swear everytime I start it I smile when I hear the roar(of the stock motor hehe)
And I don't really mind no having as much power as I want, I just get on it everyonce and awhile or more like almost everytime I drive it, and it makes me happy...

there is never enough hp to satisfy.. if you have a stock motor, you want 300 hp. If you have 300 hp, you want 500, and then you want 324903248234. It never ends

I drive my car like a wuss most of the time, so I dont get tired of the power. I dont understand how you guys can work so hard and spend so much money on a car and then just get tired of it, the fact I have so much work in my car is one of the things that keeps me from ever being tired of it, I feel that every time I drive it Im parading my hard work around for everyone to see and that never gets old.

Mine sits in teh garage 99% of the time. I maybe take it out once a month for a joy ride. I am in no way bored with it, but I enjoy having it in the garage and keeping it clean. I took it to the towns annual car show and I got a lot of compliments, so it made me happy. I just love the fact that it's sitting there whenever I get a hair up my ass to take it for a drive. But I pimp my Rust-Mobile Safari Van most of the time.

I only drive mine a couple times a week, and it always to go hang out with the car guys at a cruise in or street hangout. Having a DD that is quiet, 4x4, and super comfortable has been great. I could see how driving the 'stang everyday would be innoying.
