As you guys know ive had the stang mods 4.3k kit in my car for a few months... well in the first day one of the bulbs fell out while i was driving melted the retaining clips and my head light... but it wasnt that bad so i taped it in and checked the other clip to make sure it was tight... well a few weeks back the same thing happened with the other one this time creating a small fire and melted up my one head light... i e-mailed them and asked if they had a different bulb they could send me or replace the ones that were defective... The said it would be $150 so now not only am i out a $250 hid kit but my clear cobra healights are smoke stained and melted... ill never buy a thing from them again... I told a few of my friends that were buying kits for their cars to also buy from stang mods.... Good this happened b4 they bought the kits... after this happened i told them and they both just ordered elsewere because of stangmods poor service... just giving you guys a heads up ill post pics when i get home...

the main problem was the 2 piece bulb style... the bulb would twist out of the one part.... and upon twisting out... slide out of the head light... and melt the locking ring that held in the bulbs... so now i have no way to hold in the bulbs besides duct tape... Ive always herd good things about them untill this happened... all i wanted was a set of bulbs to replace the ones covered with melted plastic.... not even the cash for the headlight their defective product had ruined... My friend chris ordered them for me... im gonna have him call and complain as well... Because he ordered a kit for his car as well at the same time...

Hi Adam, yes we do offer a one piece design bulb but it does use a different wiring harness. You can reuse the ballasts. The regular cost is $179 but we can get it to you for $150 shipped. Thank you,

My friend chris ordered a set of HIDS from your website for me a month ago and i have been having some problems. I asked him to contact you but he has been busy. The 2 peice bulb design is horrible... the locking rings tend to slide and become unlocked allowing the HID bulb to fall out of its housing and melt everything around it. they destroyed my clear head light on the driver side about 2 weeks ago and i had to duct tape the bulb in place. the other night the pass side came undone and fell out causing a small fire. my g/f saw smoke comming from under the hood and once again it destroyed another headlight. Ive heard that you carry 1 piece bulbs... is this true??? Not only are the HID bulbs damnaged but im out a $150 set of headlights...

I can do even better. Just send us back the entire kit, bulbs, ballasts, and wiring, and I'll send you a brand new kit. Just please make sure the bulbs are not broken/shattered in anyway. Either way, I doubt the manufacturer will give us a replacement but I'll pick up the cost on a brand new kit. Please include your full name and the shipping address. Also include which temperature kit you would like. Thanks man, sorry for the inconvenience but we'll get you squared away with a new kit. And sorry about the previous email, I was confused as to whether the kit came from us or if it was purchased through another company.

Matt

Wait! If he thought you had bought them from another company, why did he offer you the (better) replacements at a decreased price?(Knowing his product had failed. Why does it matter where you bought them?) I think they found out that we a re a bit of a tight-knit group of people and the "too bad, order new ones" attitude was going to bite them in the a$$. They only offered the replacement because of the bad publicity. That's not exactly honest and a little cowardly.

I think they should replace the housings, too. Their product did the damage.
