I see a future FOTM winner in the making. I wish I had the time and money to finish my car up. Peoples paint pictures make me jealous. My car sits in my shop with a octopus of a wiring harness and half apart begging to get worked on.

now you just have to get the power plant in there with out scratching that beuty, i would be scared as hell to tighten your header bolts i always bang something up with the wrench.

you have some talent my friend

Holy crap! I just read the whole thread and I am speechless! The work you did was incredible! The amount of rust was staggering and most people would of said **** it. A body shop would have cost a freaking fortune.
Excellent work, really first class all the way.
I was really hoping that you were gonna use the 93 Cobra wheels and widen the rears to 11+"s :nice: With the sweet tires you have and the color of the car I think they look perfect.

I am subscribing to this thread now, keep up the great work!

I forgot, whats the drive train going to be?

Yes I think I can say this car is starting to definatly look like one of yours! I Think you have out done yourself again!

Are you guys thinking about coming out our way for the NMCA/NMRA superbowl in July? Let us know. I will be off work during that time for a couple weeks due to the slow economy!

Thanks, we would not have been able to do it unless we did it ourselves. It was a tough decision on the wheels, but we already have one car with those on so. Drive train is gonna be a another stroker with twins that i will fab myself. Would like to use that new Boss block from Ford Racing, right away though I think we will freshen this one, and I got some nice heads and intake laying around to use, so I can start right away on the turbo setup and work the bugs out and swap out the new motor after that. Be careful not to turn the boost up right away:D

So why did you use stickers for the badges? Weight savings measure? :D
Weight was the biggest factor. We wanted to paint em on, but you cannot replicate chrome with paint and it just wasn't looking that real. We decided to try this, and in person it is unreal, they are buried under 8 coats of clear and you are barely able to feel them, They look like the badges, we have had a couple people walk up and touch them and not believe it.

Thanks, I wish we could but with going to North Carolina the next weekend, I don't know. We'll keep in touch. hey, Uncle Ray did the welding and Pruitt did the cutting.

Her's the latest, got the wheels back from getting narrowed/widened. Decided to talk to a couple local shops we have done work for and with to see if they would be able to help us out and they agreed. One shop has a big azz lath and the other welded, came out great and it saved us from the 4 week wait at Weldcraft and the pita on shipping for rims both ways. I got em painted and tomorrow we'll have em mounted and on the car.
