Sounds like this is going to be a tough little engine. Power goals?

Definitely would like to surpass the numbers that we made with the 93. At least with this motor,we won't have to be as worried about pulling a bigger number. I'll just be happy to get it on the road.

I've been struggling with the idea of spending alot of money for a replacement headliner backer board, especially since 75% of it is gonna get cut away with the t-tops. Got hooked up with the local vinyl sign shop and it turns out they have this awesome stuff. This stuff is a very compressed foam. It looks and feels like plastic, it is water resisitant and can be scored and formed with a heat gun. I used the old headliner board as a pattern and cut out with a hand jigsaw, scored the places where I needed it to conform, then put it in the car and used a heat gun to get it to conform and presto a headliner backer for 20 bucks. I'm gonna use this for the trunk and the doors as well. Comes in a 4X8 foot sheet and he sold me half a sheet for 20 bucks.

Recieved the new engine wiring harness from RJM out of Detroit, it's a beautiful thing.

I fabbed up a panel for the trunk to mount the MSD box,the fuse, a breaker box, the selenoid and the module for the fuel pressure shut off. THis is going to better access than the way I did it on the 93, in the fender.

Got the battery cable and the wires run through the car to the front, and was able to stick all of it through the in floor subframe which was good.

That's about where we're at right now.

I am new to this forum, and stumbled across your build. I just spent a couple hours reading and reviewing this thread from start to finish. You are an extremely talented person, and it is absolutely amazing what you have done with that car in one years time. It would be nice to have your 'vision' when looking at a car and being able to see the true potential of it. What's even more amazing is the fact that you are going to have a car that will be 10 times the car most of us will ever have and you made it out a car that was 10 times worse than any car many of us have ever owned. Already being 30 years old, and not having any talent when being compared to you, I know that I will never be able to do a car like this myself. But I love that you documented this whole thing so well that it gives many of us the ability to pick and choose our battles from what we have learned from this thread alone. Thanks for sharing your build with us, and most importantly... NOT GOING WITH THE COBRA WHEELS ON THAT CAR. Don't get me wrong, the wheels are nice, just not for that car.

That's just my two cents... well maybe more like a buck and a half...

Let's wait and see, how I make out with it. There are 2 ahead of you if it works.

Just a few updates. Got the headliner done, came out really good. Also got the dash installed.

Decided to do the rear package tray in 2 pieces, and it will be covered two toned to match the seats. Used that same board as for the headliner

X2. Guess you'll have to settle for door updates, for now. Got the new door panels fabbed...

Using this same stuff to finish the trunk, since the trunk came minus an interior...

Dude, I know you probably love your red and black coupe, but I think this car is going to blow that one away. Keep up the good work!

I have to say that I have been watching this thread for a while now. It is amazing to see what you have taken that car from to what it is now. The ideas you have utilized on this car are just amazing. I am getting ready to do alot of the same stuff that you have done to my 95 minus all the rust removal. I am going to be using some of the stuff you have done on my car as well. Keep up the good work.

Looking good Terry! Looks like you are well on your way to completion. The wiring on the last page looked like when you used to spend a week wiring a harvester. That was never a good week! Good luck with the rest of the build!
