Hey all,
I started my stang after it had been sitting unstarted int he garage since Oct so that i could flip her around to replace the head gaskets. Well, she fired right up with a nice jump start. So i let her idle for about 30 min with no overheating problems. i was shocked, the fan kicked on when the temp gauge reached almost the M and it staye don for about 30 seconds. Well it wokred fine for that 30min fan kicking on, engine cooling, but the fan kept making louder noises. Then after about 35/40min of just idling, my fan kicked on at M and the engine temp kept rising like it did before, the fan shut itself off after the 30seconds or whatever. It did not turn back on, adn the temp got up to the end of the L when i shut the car off, started the car back up, and the fan kicked on and was quieter. Anyone have a cluse what the deal with this fan is? I had the recall done by ford a couple years ago. Thanks

Skimmed through the beggining and that instantly popped into my head LOL. Maybe the temp sensor?
