I got a 84 5.0 non roller 5 speed all stock except the afb 750 comp carb...I plan to do a roller cam conversion(f303 cam or tfs2),and either high compression pistons(stock bore) or a small stroker kit.with either ported e7's or a good but cheap set of aluminum heads.shorty headers,x-pipe and magnaflow catback, hei dizzy,1 wire alt.if i stay carb I'm gonna get a parker funnel web intake and a 600cfm carb.

I'm not sure if I would bennit from converting to efi or if i would be better stayin carbbed.

gonna be a simi daily driver and maybe a camaro and/or import killer, lol

If it were mine I'd keep it carbed. The cost of switching over to EFI isn't worth it IMO. Granted, I am running EFI, but since it is a 91, it already came with it.

Depends on your goals. You already have the carb, and it is simpler, cheaper, and will match (or slightly beat) the EFI for top end power. The EFI will provide superior bottom end torque, drivability, gas mileage, and equal power, but with more complexity and cost. For a daily driver, the EFI is great. For a weekend toy, either works well. I'm with the others, decent heads would be high on my list.

Final some people that like carb, this is what im doing now switching to carb,
I got the car from a guy and he hacked all the EFI wiring up so i said screw it im just gonna go carb and i been gettin ragged for going carb. But i agree with yall that its easyier to work with and just flat out lokks better.
one question tho how do ya hook up the throttle cable with your tranny havin OD

I personally tend to like the modernizing thing.

Sounds like you are on a budget.
Me personally, i'd goto the jy and get an explorer gt40p engine, then swap in the efi parts with tank and lines from an efi mustang.
I bet my way makes more power, is more reliable and gets better gas mileage.
The one thing it won't be, is easier.

Since your car is a factory carb'ed car, i would understand if you kept it that way.
But anyone that puts a carb on an 86 and newer is just a jackass.
