STB and Tire Rub

Couple of days ago I removed my strut tower brace, just because. Everything seemed fine, but I must admit I haven't driven it much since then. Today while I am out I notice during two tight turns that the left front tire is rubbing. There was no rub before the brace removal. Has anyone else who removed there STB noticed any tire rub?

I had improperly re-installed mine one time after doing headers, I forgot to tighten the three bolts on the passenger side strut tower (it was properly tightened on the firewall and driver's side strut tower however), and was getting a really loud and annoying clunk from the front end. Took me almost of month to figure-out what it was, but it just proves to me that there is in fact a good amount of deflection between the strut towers when driving.

As I suspected!

I'm having front tire rubbing also (front left tire). Because of my performer, I don't have a strut tower brace. I was thinking subframes and a stb might clear this issue up - hmm thanks for the information. Instead of going with both at the same time, I might do the MM STB first.

the tire rubbing drives me nuts (and has ever since I've owned the car). I purposely never push the wheel to the limit, simply to avoid it.
