Just installed a Steeda quadrant (got rid of my BBK POS, and adjustable cable). Question is there is a piece of steel shaped like an "L" that the quadrant comes to rest on when clutch pedal is released. What is this piece and it looks as though it has been bent upward?
Anyone with a pic of a quadrant installed on a Foxbody???

I just installed a Steed quad in mine about a month or two ago, and I'm not sure what your talking about. Only issue I had with mine (other than removal and installation) is the second hook rubbed the bottom of the dash a little bit when the pedal is released.

The piece I am referring to is where the quadrant comes to rest when clutch is let out. I have seen it referred to as a "power shaft". Just want to know is the quad supposed to sit on top of it, or slide in too it?
Thanks

Found a pic of this piece for those who are unsure, my quadrant sits on top of the "L" not down in it! Does this matter or should I try to bend it and see if new quadrant will fit inside.
I suspect when I had my BBK one installed the shop bent it to get old quad out and never bent it back again.
