Looks like the Boss intake will be to the new 5.0 as the GT40 intake was to the old 5.0. Yeah, just putting on the intake won't make the 5.0 perform like the true boss engine (its minus some tweaked cams, port polishing, valves, forged internals) but there are good gains to be had below 7k rpm.
 
I have the Boss manifold in my Mustang along with the Steeda intake. It is a world of difference and performs much better. Im waiting for an appointment with my dyno guy in order to see gains. I put down 390rwhp/372tq with just the steeda intake and axle backs on a BBR tune.
