Trying to decide - I want an optioned out Mustang...that I don't need to modify and do the "bolt-on" game after I buy the car. I don't know too much about the Steeda Level III w/Super Charger, but from the options listed...it seems like it would compare to the Roush Stage III or the Saleen 281SC. Some might say get a SVT Cobra and add some "bolts-ons" with the money you save, but that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks.

Roush... IMO Saleen looks the best, but I've heard way too many horror stories about Saleen customer service to EVER own any product of theirs. Makes me not even want to support them, regardless if anything were to go wrong or not. Roush Stage III looks great too though.

Any 0-60 or 1/4 mile times for these 3 cars?

Sean Hyland's site once showed comparisons between a few high permormance cars and it seemed like the Hyland GT bested a SVT Cobra, a Saleen SC and maybe a Kenny Brown Mustang(?) ...not sure if the Roush III was listed.

I think that Roush cars look awesome but their a bit of a pain with the ground effects being so low at the side pipes. Looks great, but every time you get out of the car your shoes want to scuff the ground effects. Sounds minor but it was a pain in the a$$ for me. (I'm 6'4") Just getting in and out was a great achievement. We sold our 98 Roush stage 1 and are very happy with the Saleen.

I think they are all really nice cars and I would probably buy the cheapest of the three and add bolt-on's (I know you don't want to hear this, but i would still do it) if I had to choose from the three. If I got to choose any mustang, I would definately buy the 03/04 Cobra and do bolt-on's or get find a cheap but good body and build up a 5.4 for transplant. Based on the choices though, I love the way the Saleen looks so that's why I choose it.

my bro has a rousch stage II...hates the day he bought it because the ground effects kit is too low. and the side exhaust? next to no one makes mufflers for that thing. he finally settled with spin techs on his. i own the saleen so i'm biased...it looks the best. the steeda i'm not too big on but they put out a quality product. a rousch stage III will out perform an s281sc from what i hear, but the rousch III ain't the most beautiful car in the world. and yes, saleen has it's problems with customer service but there are ways around that. if it were me, go with the saleen and upgrade it.

Keep the 380 R Roush in mind it has no side pipes & all the stage 3 stuff.

I love my Roush but have so much respect for Saleen & how long he has been in the game & what he has been through.

I voted Roush S3 but I am sure you can see why.

I know nothing about steeda and the only thing I like about the saleen is the looks.

oh and snkchmr is right dont forget about the 380R or used 360R cause they are basically an S3 without the sidepipes. Also if price is an issue go with Roush cause I see MUCH better deals on them BUT downfall is they drop like a rock in value and saleen holds theirs more.

true I always think people are looking for new cars

Saleens have the best looks but a lot of Saleen Stangneters have told me of problems with their superchargers and how they had to replace them with KBs. If you live anywhere near Indianapolis Indiana I might know of a brand new 380R Roush that the dealership has not been able to move in over a year and is willing to make an awsome deal on. I was talking to them about getting it for about $25,000. I haven't been by them lately to see if they still have it or not though. '03 and '04 Cobras are superior to Saleens, Roushes, and Steedas in almost every way and (brand new) are cheaper!

Steeda q 400 if any steeda car. that car is super expensive though, but it smokin fast. the other steeda cars wont be worth it compaired to the roush and saleen higher models as far as speed. i did vote steeda though :D
