i just put on my steeda triax last nite, and now i cant get my shift knob to line up right. im going to see if it still lines up with my stock shifter, what should i do? very annoying since its loose now and moves around while shifting.
The knob that comes with the tri-ax doesn't line up for some reason. If you want it to be tight, you need to put a nut on there first and the tighten that against knob when you get it straight.
no im using the stock knob still, and dont really intend on changing it as it feels plenty comfortable in my hand, heh so if i decide to try a nut what size do i need to screw onto the shifter threads?

i don't think you'd need a lock nut. what ur doing is making a jam nut (if i remember correctly) so it really doesn't need to be a lock nut because it will tighten against knob. As for sizing, i doubt the triax is almost 1/2" so i'd assume it was the 5/16" giving me those numbers
i'll check sizing after work ~5 and get back to u, but hopefully you'll have ur answer by then
