I used to have my tri-ax set on the lowest setting, but after trying the highest setting, I have found that a lot of the notchiness seems to have disappeared. The car definitely shifts with less effort now. I would recommend you try the highest setting and see how you like it...

I have the Pro 5.0. I dont think its as noisy as the Tri-ax was. I had to replace the handle because it was too short for me. I got the MGW and used the rubber washers between the handle and the shifter. It makes quite a difference in the comfort level. You dont feel every notch as much. Plus the longer the handle the easier to shift and the less notchy it feels. The shifter should loosen up as well after it breaks in. All I can say is that metal on metal shifter really lets you feel that 1-2 grind!

Tri-ax

I have found the tri-ax with my 99gt to be quite notchy (althoghy I am a former import guy so I assume this is normal) It also seems to be more difficult to get into reverse? Does mounting the handle on the left side make a difference? (they installed mine on the right)

Any help/advise is appreciated

I prefer mine on the right hand side Mine seems even more notchy when its on the left. Ive also noticed that the lower it is the more notchy feeling there is. I have mine at the lowest setting on the right. Its notchy, but still 100% than stock

Hey Beau, got your parts out to you today. Tri-ax wasn't in there. Its too bad, I could have gotten you a pretty good deal. Haha, just playing. It is the best mod I have done so far. Mine is in the low position but I might try up just for a little to see how it is. I might also get one of those trick-sticks to see if that is to my liking.
