Steeda vs. Eibach lowering springs

I have the steeda springs and i love them. When i put them in i also put kyb struts + shocks in at the same time and honestly the ride was better than stock after the swap. They are stiff, but i think in conjuction with the struts, it takes bumps more solidly and assuringly. The car dropped about 2 inches in the front and maybe 1.5 in the back. My car really had the jacked up leaned back look b4 the swap so i was very pleased with how much it dropped. good luck man

I have Eibach sportlines, they are a little stiff, but I like them. they helped even out the backwards rake it had, but it still has it a touch

I love my steedas, even though I just went with coil-overs in the back a few day ago. My front sits just perfect, about a 2" drop. The back at first was about an 1", but after settling it was about 1 1/2". Car sat real even. I highly recommend them. I also had KYB shocks and struts.

I rode on Eibachs before, a little stiffer and a little lower, about 2" all around. Still had that back raked look. I believe they were sportlines.

The rear raked look can easily be solved by a pair of weight jacker lower control arms. Plus if you have drag slicks for the rear you can also raise the back for clearance if you ever go to the track.

I had a slight rake on mine.
I bought the Steeda aluminum jackers and they are stout enough for a street car and ride quality is unchanged from a stock lca.
I can also tell the axle has become one with the chassis now ... it doesn't slop around.

If the Steeda weight jackers are too spendy for you, then you should buy the StangNet (Pro3i) units from the parts section ... I heard they work really well also.

As for springs you could go with either, since you only want a 1.25-1.50" drop. The Eibach Pro-Kit is a softer spring than the Steeda.

Here's a link to spring rates ... remember too stiff of a spring puts more stress on the dampeners (shocks/struts) and wears them quicker. You definitely want to match your dampeners to your springs for best ride quality.

Ps - Factory springs are a progressive 425-530 up front.

Yea my car sits fairly level at this point it, the gap on the front wheel is about 1 figer and its about 1.5 or 2 fingers in the back. So i guess it has a slight forward rake...but thats way better than the reverse rake. My buddy had an sn95 with the eibach sportlines and his didnt drop as far as the steeda's did, and i think his ride was actually a little softer. That might be due to the better lower a arm geometry of the sn's but he was running identical struts that i was (kyb). His car sat a little more level however, no real rake at all. i love the way the front of my car looks right now....i wish that the rear was about .5 inches lower. Im going to throw in some upper and lower control arms this spring and we'll see what happens. good luck man
