Im getting ready to buy some sn95 balljoints as part of my project and for my 5 lug conversion. I came across the steeda balljoints and was wondering if anyone has any experience or insight to offer about these. I dont quite buy the claims they have an am unsure of them.

I can get a good set of TRW balljoints for much cheaper too...

anyone have any insight?

I plan on lowering the car with H&R springs. Either the supersports of the race springs

If you go lower than 1", then get the X2 ball joints. It will "help" with the f****ed up geometry that your too low car will have. If you stay less than an 1" drop (the *correct thing to do for handling*), then go with the sn95 ball joints since they are low friction and much better. Also, FRPP has the "forever" low friction ball joints in the FRPP Fox FCAs.

And what if the drop I am looking for is right on that magic number of 1 inch? Should I still opt for the X2s?

Depends. It is an autox/street car? Or, a street/autox car? With a mainly autox car, you're looking at replacing components a lot anyways. And, the X2 ball joints will give better geometry.

But, for the street, it's hard to beat the low friction "forever" Ford ball joints.

If you have AutoX tires, AutoX brake pads, full sub frames, bumpsteer kit, then I'd say that you're better off with the X2 ball joints and plan on replacing them every ?5? years or so (mainly because of the AutoX stress). Still, some AutoX people seem to prefer the low friction ball joints more. But, *I* would say it's a semi-toss up. I don't see the low friction ball joints helping as much as better geometry. But, hard-core AutoX people custom tune their geometry anyways.

Well its not going to be a daily driver anymore thats for sure. I am dead set on getting the H&R race springs now. I cant see it sitting much lower than an inch because there is hardly any weight on the nose of my car.

If I do autocross it and open track it I think I will only be doing this a couple times a summer if even.

Go with the Ford Racing A Arms then and use the Spacer.
