Steering knuckle | Spindle is bent due to ball joint failure, i found one from junkyard for $50 or so clean car never in accident. My question is, does it matter what model this is from? Mine is a GT...would it matter if it's pulled from a 6 for example? Guy on phone said it would, wanted to confirm.

Not sure why it wouldn't work, especially if the salvage yard says it will--they have pretty detailed cross references nowadays. That said, you might look it up yourself for both vehicles on something like Rock Auto, or at your local parts store to verify the same part numbers. Cheers!

So it's referred to as a steering knuckle correct? I don't see much come up, I know expensive oem might and on ebay. Just want to make sure it's correct.

I think you mean the "spindle"...if that is the case, check out this article. https://www.maximummotorsports.com/tech_front_susp_9604_spindle.aspx
As I read it, all you need to worry about is the correct coverage years...engine size not a factor. When you go, take your old one with you to do a visual comparison.

+1 on taking the old part with you.

Here's another option to try. Go to car-part.com and look up the part in question. Make note of the other model years and "applications" that come up. This will give a rough idea of the other "applications" that will interchange. Sometimes it will pull up completely other cars. For example, just try looking for a spare tire for a Mustang.

The salvage yard industry is very good with part interchange. This is their bread and butter.
